Adelante
Folk and devotional art and jewelry. A featured gallery on CNN International's
program "Art Club", Adelante celebrated its 10th year at el Pedregal in September. Adelante
showcases paintings, sculptures, and jewelry by local and international folk and fine
artists, whose work runs the gamut from the devotional to the irreverent.
Blue Sage
Historic and Contemporary Native American art. Upon entering Blue Sage Gallery, one discovers
an eclectic selection of historic and contemporary tribal and Hispanic arts of the Americas. Navajo
textiles, Pueblo pottery, Zuni fetishes and Santos by the leading Santeros from New Mexico and
Colorado are juxtaposed with Shipibo-Conibo fermentation jars from Peru, Amazonian headdresses
from Brazil, and Santa Clara copperware from Margarete Bagshaw-Tindel, Charlie Carrillo, Jody
